Embassy of Malaysia Extends Invitation to CAG and CAG Uzbekistan for Strategic Discussions on Fintech Halal Investment Opportunities and Food Security

August 29, 2024 – Tashkent, Uzbekistan – The Embassy of Malaysia has extended an official invitation to CENTRAL ASIA GROUP (CAG), to engage in a series of strategic discussions focusing on the vital intersection of Fintech Halal Investment Opportunities and Food Security.

CAG (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a globally recognized consulting firm with over 20 years of experience in providing advisory services across Central Asia, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The firm has played a pivotal role in connecting these regions with Southeast Asia, China, and Africa, leveraging its extensive network and expertise to promote sustainable development and economic growth.

One of CAG’s notable subsidiaries, Eagleconnect Sdn. Bhd., has recently launched an innovative digital financial agro-platform in Malaysia under the brand name MyLembu (www.mylembu.com). This platform introduces a new halal financial product designed to enhance regional food security. The MyLembu platform exemplifies a unique blend of ethical finance and technology, providing a robust solution to the challenges faced by the agro-farming sector in Malaysia and beyond.

The recent official visit of Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Uzbekistan from May 17 to 19 has further intensified CAG’s interest in expanding its Malaysian initiatives into the Central Asian market. This visit has ignited the launch of the Uzlamb project in the Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan, a venture that seeks to replicate the successful MyLembu model in Malaysia. The Uzlamb project represents the first Malaysian digital financial agro-platform to offer halal investment opportunities aimed at boosting regional food security.

CAG’s efforts to promote digital financial trading through Fintech are set to strengthen the relationship between Malaysia and Uzbekistan. The initiative, which started in Malaysia in 2022, is now expanding into Uzbekistan, marking a significant milestone in the region’s economic integration. By enhancing digital financial trading between Central Asia and Southeast Asia, starting from Malaysia and Uzbekistan, this project promises to create a more resilient and interconnected agro-farming sector.

The combination of Fintech and Halal investment opportunities presents a unique and timely solution to the pressing challenges of food security in the region. CAG and its partners are committed to leveraging this opportunity to drive economic growth, enhance food security, and promote ethical financial practices across Central Asia and Southeast Asia.
