Kuala Lumpur, 7th May 2023 – The event held by the Malaysian Fujian General Chamber of Commerce officially established the ” ASEAN Fujian General Chamber of Commerce “, which aims to strengthen regional Fujian economic cooperation organizations, promote business and investment opportunities, and exchange and cooperate with each other to promote regional prosperity and development.
The founding members of the General Chamber of Commerce include the Brunei Fujian Association, the Fujian Enterprises of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam, the Fujian General Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, the Indonesian Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, the Lao Fujian Chamber of Commerce, the Myanmar Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, the Thai Fujian Chamber of Commerce, the Cambodian Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, Singapore Youth Quanzhou Chamber of Commerce and Malaysia Fujian General Chamber of Commerce.
Dato’ Liu Guoquan, president of the Malaysian Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, said in a speech at the preparatory meeting that the above-mentioned member organizations represent Fujian communities in various countries and regions, and have extensive business networks and resources.
He said that ASEAN is one of the most dynamic and promising economic regions in Asia. As an important economic and commercial hub in China, Fujian Province has abundant investment opportunities and resources. Through the establishment of the ASEAN Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, it provides Exchange and cooperation platform.
He pointed out that the General Chamber of Commerce will organize business forums, seminars and exchange activities. At the same time, it will also hold business exhibitions and fairs to promote business cooperation between enterprises in ASEAN countries and Fujian Province. The world brings more opportunities and achievements.
