On 7-11 September 2009, CAG has successfully arranged and organized a world conference for the Republic of Tajikistan on the 68th Plenary Meeting as “The Role of Cotton in Economic Development and Sustainable” held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Cape Town, South Africa by The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC), an association of governments of cotton producing, consuming and trading countries located at 1629 K Street NW, Suite 702, Washington, DC 20006 USA.
CAG would like to express its gratitude towards the successful world conference by Mr. Terry Townsend, the Executive Director of ICAC and his entire ICAC team members and Mr. Hennie Bruwer, Chief Executive Officer of Cotton South Africa for his directions. CAG has invited Mr. Piriev Dzhalil, Director of Agricultural Economy Institute to speak about Cotton Industry and Economy on behalf of the Republic of Tajikistan.
