Solar power plant launched in Turkestan region

KAZINFORM – Akim of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev visited Sozak region on a working trip. The head of the region got acquainted with the work of the solar power station “YUKSES-50”, with the construction of a trunk gas pipeline branch and preparation in the region for the heating season. This was reported by MIA Kazinform with reference to the press service of the akimat.

LLP “Uran Kuat”, which employs 279 people, provides heat to 4 institutions, 39 multi-storey residential buildings and 180 individual houses, as well as 9 budgetary institutions located in the villages of Taukent and Kyzemshek.

The regional akim also examined the work within the framework of the project for the construction of a gas pipeline branch and an automatic gas transmission system in the Sholakkorgan settlement. The length of the gas pipeline is 44 km. The project is aimed at providing the population of Sozak district with natural gas and is financed from the republican and regional budgets.

Another large-scale investment project was the launch of a solar power plant LLP “YUKSES-50”, located in the village of Sholakkorgan. For the implementation of this project, a land plot of 120 hectares was allocated in the industrial zone of the district. The power plant, equipped with modern equipment, was launched as part of a project for the development of environmentally friendly energy sources. The project cost amounted to 24 billion tenge, production capacity – 50 MW, 30 permanent jobs were created.
