5th of May, 2018, Saturday, Dushanbe, Tajikistan – CAG supported the charity fun run in the city of Dushanbe for animal shelter and first rescue home for dogs and cats on May 5th, 2018.
A 5 km marathon was organized with the aim to collect funds for the first animal shelter in Tajikistan “Happy tails” and namely, for 19 dogs and 4 cats, the first habitants of the shelter.
Many parents and their children, students and teachers gathered in the Botanical Garden of Dushanbe city last Saturday in order to voice the rights of animals and invite citizens of Dushanbe for support to homeless dogs and cats living around the city districts. The organizers hope to increase the funds in the future and be able to care about more dogs and cats in the city.
CAG was glad to sponsor the provision of mineral water to all participants of this educative and humanistic event, which as usually and doubtlessly should be part of any healthy civilized society.
“We thank CAG for its support and ensuring further collaboration in similar social activities, contributing to the positive developments and education of young Tajik citizens”– expressed a volunteer of the event.
The Initiative Group of organizers and volunteers thanked other supporters and organizers of the event, along CAG, such as Quality International School Dushanbe and its dedicated parents’ committee and the Mayor of Dushanbe city for backing at the beginning of new initiative and patronizing youth in safeguarding the healthy and nonviolent environment.
