The Blue Mile campaigned was launched from the 1st to the 28th of February 2021, with over 600 participants joining within the first two weeks.

Central Asia Group (CAG) agreed to donate and convert all running and walking kilometers accumulated by participants into Tajikistan’s local currency at a ratio of 1 km = 1 Somoni.

The participants of the ‘Blue Mile’ charity run reached a total of 18,000 kilometers = 18,000 Somoni.

The event was a great turnout with over 50 participants involved including the organizers, runners, and charity members who came together for a ceremonial cheque handover hosted by CAG.

TJK Run Club’s Co-Founder, Firuz Abdukadyrov, and General Director of CAG Tajikistan, Sherali Davlatov held a welcome speech to begin the ceremony.

Founder and Executive Director of NGO “IRODA” Tajikistan, Lola Nasriddinova, and Sherali Davlatov celebrated the crowd with the cheque and prizes to the winners sponsored by CAG.

CAG members say “Our team is truly honored to do their part and give back to the community using this wonderful initiative. We are excited to endorse the enthusiasm of the people in this charity which in fact helps both groups of people: children with autism and adults who embrace a healthy lifestyle”.

“We hope that this humble initiative will become exemplary and other organizations will follow as well”.

Runners of the ‘Blue Mile’ charity left cheerful and grateful to be a part of making a greater change in society.

Later, the participants celebrated with a buffet and desserts to treat themselves after all the miles and calories burnt for charity.
