Part of the property of the Tajik Aluminum Plant (TALCO) will be transferred to a new company established by order of the government of Tajikistan. It is reported by Asia Plus .
According to the decree approved on May 7, the new company will be called TALCO Industries, and all the benefits enjoyed by TALCO will apply to it. The transfer of property will be carried out by TALCO together with the State Committee for Investments and other ministries and departments.
The decree also instructs to approve the agreement between TALCO and the Chinese company China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), signed by the parties in April 2019. Under an agreement worth $ 545 million, CMEC is to complete and modernize two facilities that were not completed due to the collapse of the USSR. These facilities will be transferred to TALCO Industries.
The government also instructed to approve agreements for the conversion of the firing workshop between TALCO and FIVES SOLIOS (France) and Riedhammer GmbH (Germany).
