Central Asian fitness IT platforms aims into ASEAN via Malaysia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – September 8, 2025 – In a significant step towards strengthening digital and economic ties, a high-level meeting was convened at the Malaysian Embassy in Tashkent to discuss the expansion of Uzbekistan’s innovative technology sector into the ASEAN region, with Malaysia as its strategic gateway.

The meeting featured Mr. Farhod Furkatov, the Founder and CEO of Deepen.uz, a leading and fast-growing Uzbek IT company specializing in fitness and wellness software who presented his company’s strategic plan to establish its Southeast Asian operational headquarters in Malaysia.

This initiative is directly inspired and motivated by the strengthened bilateral relations between Malaysia and Uzbekistan, championed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev. The delegation emphasized a shared desire to expand cooperation, particularly in the critical field of Information Technology.

The meeting was coordinated by CAG (M) Sdn. Bhd., which is honoured to support Deepen.uz in this strategic endeavour. The delegation sought first-hand insight and strategic advice on navigating the Malaysian market.

His Excellency Ilham Tuah Bin Illias, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic, received the delegation warmly. Discussions focused on Deepen.uz’s successful track record in Central Asia and its ambitious plan to enter the ASEAN market, which boasts a fitness and wellness sector valued at approximately $14 billion.

The Ambassador expressed strong support for the initiative, applauding the innovative business model. He assured the delegation of the embassy’s full assistance in providing relevant contacts and guidance to facilitate a smooth market entry, aligning with the broader goal of bringing the two regions closer together.

“We believe our technology can contribute positively to Malaysia’s growing wellness ecosystem and are grateful for His Excellency’s endorsement. We look forward to a productive visit to Kuala Lumpur in October to further explore collaborations” said Mr. Farhod Furkatov, CEO of Deepen.uz

The Deepen.uz delegation included Mr. Norbek Yusupjonov (CTO), Ms. Sadokat Kaziyeva (Creative Director), and was accompanied by Mr. Tabarruk Nabijon, Co-Founder and President of CAG (M) Sdn. Bhd.
